I tried to take an outfit pic today that included my whole body, but that I could take with Photobooth cuz I’m lazy, which ended up with me on the floor…and when you end up on the floor, you end up covered in DOGS!! Bibi is so smelly right now! She’s like the stinkiest hound dog that ever did stink. I still kissed her dome head and gave her big hugs cuz she’s my stinky baby. There were moments today where I wondered about the line between giving up on something cuz it’s too hard to fight against other people, and continuing to fight as hard as you can even though it’s probably hopeless, and they’ll think you’re the most annoying creature ever. I’ll keep trying, but nothing often works out the way that you hope. It can be bit hard on you mentally, and you just want to sit there and eat potato chips. (p.s. stripey puff-sleeve top is UO/Urban Renewal, jeans are from Delias, and shoes are Miz Mooz) (p.p.s. I am going to work super-hard in the next few days to get my shop update up!)

The Life Aquatic is one of my favey fave movies. I wanted them to come out with a ton of Team Zissou memorabilia, but mostly all you could find was red hats!!! Anyway, I randomly searched Etsy for Zissou swag recently, and I bought a Team Zissou Ring!! Proud Junior Member!! Join the team at Steve Zissou’s Etsy shop hehehe. In other news, I haven’t done an outfit post in a while, so here is what I’m wearing today: Dress: Nicole Lindner. (vote for her for this Detroit Designers Contest!) I’m actually just trying to wear these as much as possible and break them in so that they don’t break my feets when I take them to the East Coast next week!

I feel like I keep wanting to apologize for not blogging about craft/crochet very much anymore. I’m guessing that might be how a lot of you started following this blog in the first place! Truthfully, I don’t get to crochet very much these days (altho I’m trying to update Etsy, I swear!). I am doing a LOT of drawing. I am not at ALL trained to do so, and I’m fighting with Adobe Illustrator and my tablet like every night! Hahha. And so much of what I am working on is kinda secret for now, so then days go by that I  have nothing fun to post. But I hope that will make Yummy You’s reveal that much more exciting! Have I mentioned on my blog yet that we plan to sell items straight off our website? YAY! Today I got two new tshirts from Delias. I will forever have mixed feelings about tshirts. I can’t stop buying them, but wearing them makes me feel like a lazy dresser, and just too casual all the time. But there are very few cute button up tees or darling blouses that I like and would actually wear on a daily basis. Then I revert back to the tshirt. Don’t you love how I am the laziest outfit-blogger ever, and I don’t even bother to stand up or clear the background!? Hehehehe. I have been drooling over floral felt hair pieces by Giant Dwarf for quite some time, and I finally got me one! My purple dress is from Dirty Betty. I don’t normally gravitate toward purple or boho/hippie things, but a random bug bit me! I am seriously thinking about grabbing this star headband by Giant Dwarf as well. It’s what dreams are made of.

Soooooooo I kind of gave up on WIWT for a bit because the busier I get, the less I care about what I am wearing. If I can brush my teeth and get pants on at some point during the day, then I can pat myself on the back! Mostly I just get out of bed, run downstairs to my computer, and start working and answering emails. I get super focused and go into the Work Zone. For the most part, I am really a tshirt and jeans girl, and, I assume that nobody really cares to see that being blogged about. But for those of us who don’t want to wear gladiator sandals, high heels, vintage dresses, or highwaisted shorts every day, I am here for you. 😛 Tshirts and jeans can still look okay-cute, as long as your tshirt is okay-cute! So I was just going to try this on, and ended up deciding to wear it for the day. Fits perfectly!!! Originally it was strapless, but I asked if she would put straps on it. I think the show is terrible, but I’ve watched enough of it where I feel committed to watch it now. I can’t believe they got rid of Ethan. What the heck? Also, I’m a little over seeing Annie’s crazy-mad-frustrated-tormented face. The I-just-smelled-dog-poo face. What did you guys think of the new Melrose Place!? I’m so confused about how everyone is, cuz I was paying half-attention. I can’t believe Kostas from Traveling Pants is on it….and with no Greek accent!!! It boggles the mind, truly! So this is what I wore on my bday! Minus the Koala Hat. I made that for Esther since I didn’t see her on her birthday! It matches her Koala Scarf! She had always loved the little radish scarves, and she also commented at the Renegade Fair about how neat neckwarmers were for people who rode bikes (and didn’t want to deal with the long flappy ends of a scarf). So I put two and two together and whipped up this! Finally, here is a pic of my fabooo bday cake made by Debbie Does Cakes!. It was super amazing and a huge surprise that Hairy and Manda concocted!!!! It’s a cake modeled after my Layer Cake Tissue Cozy….so it’s a real cake that’s supposed to look like a fake cake. It’s awesome. Apparently, at Aziza, there is no shortage of sparklers to put on bday desserts!! The food was ridiculously good at Aziza. There was SOOOO much of it, too. We got a fixed 4-course menu for over 8 people, and we were bursting at the seams….and there was SO much variety!! So cray-cray!! I started to take pics of the food, and then I sort of got lazy and forgot. It was really good, though. Big thumbs up! Plus, the cocktails were yummy. I got a nectarine something or other with prosecco and it was delish. We did hop over to 1984 for a second. It was already almost 1am when Hairy and I arrived, but it was a nice hour of people-watching. My favorite bartender bought me a bday drink, so that was nice, too. All in all, excellent bday!!!!! Wait till I show you the DVDs I got. They were all kind of a joke, but I am dubbing them my Self Improvement Dvds…including something by Deepak Chopra. I plan to watch them all (even guitar lessons by Esteban) and do a review for each. Good Friends & Good Food,

Sooooo I ordered ONE shirt (not pictured today…but soon!) from All Mighty. When they first announced their Dainty June sister line and I saw pics, I was like, I NEED TO HAVE ALL OF THIS. So I was a little proud of myself for only getting one shirt from Dainty June. When my package arrived, it was BIG, and I was confused! Turns out, they threw in a bunch more shirts from their damaged/sample bin. WOWEE!! I might do a give away including a shirt or two, or just give some to friends. I’m not sure! I tried on the green one, and then, I just left it on because it was so soft and comfy. Generally, I must wash all new clothing before putting it on my body, but, seriously, SOFT. On for the rest of the day. Originally I was wearing my “I hate children” puff sleeve shirt from Locher. I don’t really hate all kids. Just ones that are crying and screaming…. Anyway, I must also share the other half of my big dirty 40% off Betsey Johnson sale secret. THIS HOODIE!! O.M.G. Okay, it was really spendy, but 40% off!! Stiiilll spendy….but….I had to have it and I have no regrets. Puff sleeve, ruffle bottom, gold zippers even at the wrist, beautiful pattern and colors. Also, it’s really warm for a hoodie. Maybe too warm for the current weather! We’ll see. Finally, here’s a tiny peek at what we’re working on for Renegade. I still have a crap ton to do. It sort of overwhelms me. So yesterday I scrubbed down the bathrooms to avoid my to-do list. Today I have to get back on the horse! I’ve been working on t-shirt designs a lot the past few days. I’m kind of stuck on which to print and bring to the fair! We’ll see. More updates on that soon!

Hairy has said I am officially “bad.” I am not “bad,” I am human!!! A mere human girl!!! When I got the email telling me that Betsey Johnson’s bags were 40% off, I had to take a look…. and I fell deeply and hopelessly in love with this amazing ice cream tote bag. The handles are pink sequins, the giant ice cream on the front is a zipper pocket, there’s a magnetic snap closure, tons of room for my crap. WHAT IS NOT TO LOVE?!??! I MEAN REALLY!?!!?? (please excuse my terrible hair. sometimes it just does whatever it wants to do…)

So one of the things I liked about shopping in Hong Kong were BLINGED OUT T-SHIRTS!!!!! Cute tees decorated with rhinestones. I’m totally going to make some myself for Renegade. That’s the plan anyway! Hairy has his screenprinting set up so we’re gonna see about making some Twinkie Chan tees!

I got up on Saturday and declared an unofficial Princess Day! Dress: I’m Your Present Cardigan: Tarjay! Necklace: Kid Pirate We didn’t do anything special. We had to go to Sacramento again to check out another dog kennel since we are leaving on a family trip to Europe in less than a week and the babies have to stay somewhere. We are not going with the cleanest/nicest/most expensive place, but this place suits our needs: space. Good sized runs with inside and outside. Grass yards to play in. And if your dog is deemed well-socialized, they will put your dog in a play group and not charge extra. We hit A LOT of traffic, and we were running WAY LATE. The girl who worked at the kennel was really nice and let us come in late. Again, it was not the fanciest place, but I think it was the one that both Hairy and I liked best for our pups. We’ll see if they come home missing ears or pooping butt-pudding or something…..!! Then Hairy wanted to eat nutburgers as this rando drive-in place called the Sunflower SomethingorOther. I got a millet burger!!! We ate outside on benches and were surrounded by CHICKENS AND ROOSTERS. They kept coming around to peck food off the ground, and I was SCARED. I assume animals like chickens and squirrels and raccoons are mean, so being surrounded by a cackling posse was like something out of a horror movie :P. On the way home we stopped for MickeyD’s soft serve and all was right in the world!

So I got my Voltron Shirt from Poppy’s Wicked Garden” and she also asked if I might take pics in one of her tutus. I’m not really a short skirt kinda gal, because I’m afraid of my butt hanging out, but I figured it would be fun so why not! I snapped a few pics today, and I have to admit, her tutus are REALLY comfy, can be worn higher on the waist or lower on the hips, and are super flirty and fun. …you make silly t-shirts for your friends to see the new Star Trek movie!!!! I have a long-standing love for the Shatner as James T Kirk. I used to have pictures of him up in our living room in the Palo Alto house. I was so excited to have an excuse to make a Kirk Shirt! I was sad, though, that my shirt did not come out so well. I couldn’t get the iron-on transfer to peel correctly and it just ended up tearing and crinkling. I sound like I’m wearing a bag of potato chips. So Manda and I made a trip to Michael’s to buy better transfers (I would avoid purchasing the AMAZON brand of iron-on transfers!!!). I thought this would be a good opportunity to wear the silver Irregular Choice space booties that I hoard but never wear. Ok, I wore them ONCE to Supperclub, but then they killed my feet after walking around the Castro and then I never wore them again. After wearing them to take a photo this afternoon, I decided that I STILL did not want to wear them ever again. Sad. I will still keep them, though. They are just too cool! They have terrible support and also make me feel too much like a space hoochie. Next up, pics at the movie theater! Okay, note in the next photo that Hairy is eating my Rice Krispy Treat!!! Okay, note in THIS next photo that I have CHOCOLATE on my teef cuz I was eating, AAAND Manda is making that disgusted face cuz I was opening my mouth behind her and my mouth made a gross smacky sound. MMM mm!! So, I am not what you would call a hardcore Trekkie, but my dad was always a fan of the Original series, and I have a fondness for its kitsch factor and popculture value. And the Shat. The Holy Shat. I was not disappointed in the movie. When I first saw the trailer, I was like, “OMG this looks like Starship Troopers and it’s going to suck.” But then I kept hearing that people actually liked the movie. I would now put myself in that category. We saw it at the Sundance Kabuki where you can pick your seats while you buy your tickets online. This seemed optimal so that we wouldn’t have to wait in line somewhere forever only to end up in a terrible place like the front row. Also this theater is 21+. So we had a very pleasant and grown up movie experience with fabulous seats, but I also kinda wish we saw it at the Metreon with a super rowdy and super nerdy crowd! I think I’d be hardpressed to find someone to see it with TWICE. OH wells!
