My one very favorite home made gift would have had to be my aunts cloth fabric christmas pillow stuffed with fluff and wonderful scented pine needles. There are others but that one I still have since she first gave it to me!

My mom makes really beautiful things with clay, and she made clay versions of her hands and my dad’s hands. They are so lovely and remind me of them.

My mum knits washcloths; not exactly fancy, but they’re so cute I can’t stand to dirty them, so they become oversized coasters and chunky doilies!

My most favorite hand made gift is a bacon and eggs scarf with detachable eggs that my mother made me for Christmas when I was about 17. I had seen a picture of one on etsy, but I was just barely learning how to crochet, so I asked my mom to make one for me. When we were looking around on the Internet for a good pattern, and we came across your site Twinkie.

My favorite handmade gifts have been from my mom. She made my sister and I scarfs when we moved away to more wintery climates. Perhaps not terribly unique but I liked them all the same.

  • I received homemade Christmas box/bootie! It’s for putting sweets in and displaying!

Every year, our youth group has a homemade gift exchange – everyone has these hidden crafting talents that we all never knew about – so far I’ve gotten a screen printed shirt, a wooden mural made from recycled skateboards, and a painting!
