Babydolls n Puffsleeves

When I shop on Etsy, there are a couple of keywords I always fall back on:

puff sleeve

peter pan collar

babydoll dress

space mod (also for fun house stuff!)

So I received my latest Etsy dress from meetmeinmontauk. I love it! Groovy citrus colors , puff sleeve, cotton and not polyester. I’m in babydoll bliss! Except the back zipper doesn’t have one of those claspy things on top so the zipper keeps falling down! I gotta fix that somehow. Also I am boring and always wear my jeans under my dresses these days. No colorful tights or fancy shoes. I still am not convinced that tights are just as warm as jeans. I would like to be convinced, as I think tights are cuter, but I don’t wanna freeze my beans off.

Also today I did the The Bar Method exercise dvd, which is supposed to “integrate the fat burning format of interval training, the muscle shaping technique of isometrics, the elongating principles of dance conditioning, and the science of physical therapy to create a revolutionary new workout that quickly and safely reshapes your entire body.”

My thoughts: For people whose excuse is that they don’t have time to work out…this is kind of a long DVD. Almost an hour if you do the whole thing, including the warm up. If you are looking for some cardio and some sweat, this is not for you. If you are looking to squeeze your butt a lot, this is definitely for you! My triceps and my thighs feel pretty worked out, but I didn’t get that over all feeling of satisfaction from this, whereas after I do a Carmen Electra DVD, I feel like I got run over by a bus. So I guess the Bar Method might be good for “body sculpting,” but to get some of this jiggle off my wiggle, I would definitely want to do more regular cardio, too, at the gym. But since this is only the first day I’ve tried the Bar Method, who knows yet!

Hahahaha, “jiggle off my wiggle”- I love that! ๐Ÿ™‚

My idea of exercise is lifting the potato chips bowl while i watch Richard Simmons be a pony ๐Ÿ™‚

    • OH I like that exercise very much!!! Except I am starting to burst out of my pants and am not cool with it! ๐Ÿ˜›

tights are definitely not as warm! you should try sweater tights though, they’re a lot warmer and you can find some in really cute prints ๐Ÿ˜‰

    • I bought some sweateryish tights from Betsey Johnson a year or so ago….but I was between sizes, went with the larger size, and they just look stupid and wrinkly ๐Ÿ™

leggings are warmer! target has cute thick-ish leggings in long, medium and knee-length! way warmer than jeans, i love them :3 i love you!! why don’t i have a picture on my comments, how do i do that?

    • Let’s go shopping! This weekend?! ok!!!!

I forgot how I got my icon. I figured it out once when trying to leave a comment on shrinkle’s blog? Like there’s some site with a weird name that will then on some WordPress blogs find your pic for you…ehhh….I am not explaining this well.

i have this weekend off! let’s do it!!!

you’re a liar and you have a picture because you’re the boss of the website, not because of mystery wordpress blogs and shrinkle. just admit it!!

    • I think it had something to do with this site:

but I wonder if I have the proper thingamajigs set up on my blog for it work?! i dunno. i guess mine worked!! but my avatar doesnt show up when I comment at shanalogic’s blog. oh technology.

You could buy a hook and eye thingamajig and sew it above the zipper,it may help.

    • Yep yep! I need to figure out if there is room for one of those thangs!

Super cute dress, I need to start wearing cute dresses again…I’m landed in knocked up in husband’s t-shirt zone. lol

I hate when I don’t feel all gross from working out. I figure if I’m not covered in sweat, unable to breathe and experiencing chest pain it’s not doing anything. ๐Ÿ˜‰ lol

    • It’s hard to justify wearing anything remotely cute when I am at home with dogs all day ๐Ÿ˜›

very cute, I love the smocking, bring on Spring!

    • I love smocking with a sleeve! With a strap, it always gives me weird armpit blubber! ๐Ÿ˜›

  • I’ve been meaning to ask, if you haven’t already told everyone. Where did you get your heart necklace. It’s cute.

    the dress is super cute!

and sorry to be a spectacle stalker (I always mention your spex, but they’re amazing) – do you know where those ones are from? Ive been looking for some square frames for ages ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Thanks, Sophie!

I actually got the frames at a vintage frame shop. They were quite expensive :(. I decided not to put Rx lenses in them after all because the nose part between the two squares is too far apart on my face. This makes my eyeballs look really close together and cross eyed! IT’s a shame. They are almost perfect! I was thinking of selling them, but I doubt anybody would pay me what I bought them for ๐Ÿ˜›

Baby doll dress = super cute ๐Ÿ˜€ I rarely wear dresses as its like 5 degrees here and its bloody march ๐Ÿ˜›

    • That’s why I think of dresses as more like shirts. Over my pants. With a cardi. And a scarf. And a coat. heheh

My friend recommends True Religion jeans that gives girls’ butts the look of a good workout without the workout.
    The dress is divine!

    • Oh I am a big big fan of True Religion jeans on women! They are just a bit pricey, so I try not to buy them, but they really do look the best on the big bootied girls ๐Ÿ™‚ These days, though, it’s the muffin tops and the belly that are more the problem than the butt ๐Ÿ˜› ๐Ÿ˜›
