CrunchTimeFreakOut!!!

Okay, I am officially freaking out about having anything at my booth for Bazaar Bizarre.

Also the washing machine broke again, which isn’t the most optimum sitch for my felting needs, but hopefully the guy will be able to fix it soon and for cheaps!

I made a scarf:

I tried blue eyes this time after a discussion with Hairy. I think he looks much more alive and crazy now than with black eyes.

I also made a bunch of wristwarmers:

They are supposed to remind you of colorful candy cane sticks! So far I’ve only been using yarn from my stash, but I think I will go to Imagiknit to pick a bigger variety of colors/flavors.

Tonight I am all about making brooches!

In progress!

I need to make 10 cupcake brooches for Manda’s children’s theater due the day before Baz Biz, so I’m just gonna do all her brooches and all my brooches right now. I also plan to have cookie, gingerbread men, and lollipop brooches for the fair.

So yeah, I decided not to go to Handmade Ho Down :(. I just don’t have a lot of time to spare until the fair on the 12th. I might have to fly down to LA for business next week, too. Eep! Back to work!

Muah!

Aw! I love the gingerbread scarf! His blue eyes are super cute! He looks really quirky and just a little bit mischievous! I really like the candy cane wrist warmers!! So cute!

    • Someone said to make sure the one gingerbread man with the sad face was also missing an arm. I forgot to do that! SO clever!

i’m loving your candy cane wristwarmers! So adorable and great for holiday!
you’ve been doing a lot of flying back and forth lately. you should just move down here 😉

We can go on a bunch of awesome food outings!

    • Hairy was wondering if they would ask me to move down there! 😛 As far as I know, I think I’ll probably be going down once a month. The office is in the OC? Is that anywhere near you?

        says:

yep. what city in the OC? i’m in santa ana but near the border of costa mesa(city of ridiculously rich people). South Coast Plaza(the mall for the ridiculously rich) is practically my backyard. i used to live in the san gabriel valley which was much closer to LA without actually living in LA. i miss living there. But i’m always at kev’s place 3 days out of the week so it’s like i never really left. Sadly, i haven’t found any awesome food places in the OC yet, probably because i don’t make much of an effort to settle in. i always end up back in LA county anyways.

        • I use the Long Beach airport when I fly in, and it’s really close to there. I can’t remember the name of the city right now, but it’s super close to the airport, and seems to be in the middle of nowhere! HAhaha

well i go to school in LB. don’t tell me it’s some random city like signal hill or los alamitos. well i doubt it’s signal hill, i think that city is just full of landfills and power plants.

          • it’s Cypress!

Cute cute cuteness everywhere! Loving the blue eyed gingerbread scarf and I’m totally on board with one of them missing an arm, that would be awesome. The wrist warmers are cute! I’ll be sending washer fixing itself thoughts your way! 😀

When you felt stuff, do you put it in a zipped pillowcase? I have a friend who knits and she had to start putting her pieces in a pillowcase to prevent the fuzzies from destroying her washer. This was learned after she choked her washer’s motor and had to buy a new one.

If you don’t already do that (which you probably do, being a crazy knit expert and all), you might want to give it a try for your washer’s sake!

    • Oh yes, I do!! I don’t like it, because I find that my piece gets crumpled into a corner of the pillowcase and does not felt evenly, but yeah, I don’t want to keep replacing motors and filters, either! 😛 This time apparently my friend’s bra’s underwire broke in the wash and then the pieces jammed the filter!!!
