Here is the other free crochet pattern I worked up for Sugar ‘n Cream’s “Sweets and Delights” promo at Michaels for their new range of sugary sweet yarn colors: A Rainbow Cake Throw Pillow that uses five of the new colors! The patterns is available at Michaels.com, and I will also post it here on my blog.
In case you were curious, here is the sample I worked up at home while figuring out the pattern. I didn’t have the purple color (Sherbet) on hand, so I repeated the pink (Strawberry Shortcake). The purple looks really pretty, though, so I can’t wait to find some in the store!

Finishing
Place Panels A and B on top of each other and decide which panel will be Front of Pillow. With RS of Front Panel facing and MC, work a line of surface sl st along edge between Top and Side of Cake to define that edge. Embroider multi-colored sprinkles onto Top of Cake with various colors using straight st. Sew sides of Panels tog, leaving 8″ (20.5 cm) opening to stuff Pillow. Stuff Pillow, taking care to not over-stuff. Sew opening closed. Sew 3 Meringue Swirls along 42nd row of Top of Cake.
