My mom is really into a dessert called the Mont Blanc, which is a chestnut-flavored pastry resembling and named after the highest mountain in the Alps.
I decided to crochet her a little painting for her Christmas/Birthday present with three mont blancs on a cake stand. As per usual, I thought it would be funny to show you the sketch I used to map everything out.
Sorry about the terrible flash photography! I finished this right before we went to her birthday dinner, and there was no more sunlight for a good photo.
It’s kind of hard to see in the photo, but I used a fun gold thread with sequins to decorate the cake stand as well as at some fun sparkle stars to the background. Hopefully I’ll remember to bring my camera to my parents’ house one day to get a nicer picture!
super cute!
Thank you!
Aww, it’s so cute! And the sketch is so neat, I especially like the felt eyes. Dreamy desserts, haha!
I always hesitate to put faces on food, but sometimes I cave hehehhe
Love it! I really like the eyelashes. π
Thank you!!
BTW, do you do your sketches on MS Paint?
Hehe no, I use photoshop!
Wow…that is the cutest thing ever! What sweet faces!! Your work is so incredibly inspiring!! π
YUM!!!! So CUTE & they look like they’d be delicious!!! A very special desert treat, indeed!! As always– your work is PERFECTION!!! <3
It’s absolutely adorable!
Awesome as usual.
Omg! This is adorable! I know your mom loved it! I love your work and creativity. I hope to one day be as successful as you.
awww lucky mum, she must have loved this! Love the idea of crochet painting! π
I love this… your sketches are really nice too. Mine look like I’m half asleep or driving sometimes. LOL.
I think mine are pretty terrible, which is why they make me laugh!!!! π They serve their purpose, tho!
I love your stuff, Twinkie! Are you doing more patterns for Michaels?
Hi! My partnership with Michaels was only for 2013. I might do the occasional pattern for them for special promotions, but it won’t be monthly like last year.
