Two lil’ cupcakes for two lil’ cupcakes.

I popped out two of these little guys in a little over 24 hours. My parents are visiting family, so my mom asked me to make two cupcake scarves for two of my little girl cousins (my cousins’ kids… 1st cousins? I have no idea) before she left for her trip. I made each scarf 10 cupcakes long (vs. 16-17 cupcakes long which is the usual length for an adult scarf). Kelly-Anne graciously helped me out with finding a good scarf length for a 3 year old, since she has one!

They turned out super small and cute!

I just love these scarfs Twinkie. I just purchased your ebook and am in the process of making the larger cupcake one. Do you have the instructions for the smaller one?

    • HI! The only instructions are the ones in my blog post :). Just sew together 10 cupcakes instead of 16. I made a strand of 4 cupcakes and a strand of 6 cupcakes and then joined them :).

  • Cute! I’m sure they will be the best accessorized 3 year olds 😛

    • One of my friends/crochet elves wanted to try making a super mini cupcake scarf for like Blythe dolls. I hope she does it!

just picturing these on some cute little kids is too adorable to handle! <3

    • I wonder if the 3 year olds would recognize the cupcake!

Hee hee, the cousin thing is so confusing. I always thought that my cousins’ kids were my second cousins, but I looked it up and I think that they are technically “first cousins once removed”. Since your cousins’ kids are a generation younger than you are, they are one generation removed from you.

    • The “once removed” thing makes sense now!!!!! I wonder what a second cousin is then! 😛
