WIWT: Pastel Eggsplosion

Last night, Hairy, my mom and I went to the DeYoung Museum to support and vote for Manda’s outfit she designed and made with a fellow student for Discarded to Divine. There was a huge long line, and by the time we got close, they ran out of ballots and we couldn’t vote on the People’s Choice Awards! Bummer! Afterwards, we all and ate a giant Korean feast and ended the night with a coconut milk tea and an eggpuff. Perfecto!

I had planned to wear my new tights that night, but while walking the dogs, I realized that the tights not only started to fall down, but were also taking my undies down with them!!! Lots of awkward underwear picking and tights-hiking occurred.

So those tights are now in the donate pile!

I then opted to try some mint green tights I’d never worn, and my entire outfit felt inspired by my pastel fingernails!

Later I threw on a cardigan from H&M that matched the tights perfectly, but I hadn’t picked that out yet before snapping the photos!

Dress: Reko from TopShop London, Tights: We Love Colors (I buy the plus size!!!), Custom necklace: athinalabella, Hair doodads: petit fours by me! bow by 6%dokidoki, candy bonbon from CutieDynamite, Shoes, super old Aldos! I actually felt on that day that I really need to look into some fun shoes that are not black!!

I hate stockings and tights that drag down! Losing your undies would have come as a bit of a surprise to the crowd. Have you tried putting an extra pair of undies over the top to hold them up? Or you could chop off the panty part of the tights and get yourself some sock garters. Sock dreams have some fantastic ones for sale, I don’t have any myself but I think they would suit you to a T!

    • I haven’t tried the double underwear approach yet! I just can’t imagine that the underwear would be able to hold everything up! I should try it tho!!!!

I actually have purchased garters from Sock Dreams years ago ;). Sometimes on an off day they can make you feel kinda pudgy since the pinch around you to stay up!

    • It took me a while, too.

ALso I was surprised that the regular sizing didn’t fit me….. but once I bought the big girl size, it was smooth sailing…!

You look like an Easter egg! And I mean that in the best way possible- you’re adorable! The brown tights are really cute….too bad the drag makes them so impractical ๐Ÿ™

    • I wish I had time to make myself a quick yellow shag tank dress to be an easter chick on easter sunday!! hehe

Daer god, you are so damn cute ๐Ÿ˜€ Have you tried Mod Podge and glitter on your shoes? I haven’t tried it yet, but it definitely looks like a fun way to spruce up some plain black shoes. You use a sponge to put on a thin layer of mod podge, then sprinkle on some glitter. That’s way more fun and cheaper than buying some new shoes ๐Ÿ˜€ Here is where I stole the idea –>

    • Oh yes I have seen people’s DIY glitter shoes before!!! But I literally wear the same pair of shoes everyday, so I’d probably need to buy a different pair to glitter up anyway ๐Ÿ˜›
