VLOG: Check out my new hang tags n stuff!

I got a really fun shipment in the other day: new biz cards, hang tags, and Thank You labels!!!!! I know this is probably exciting to only a few people, but I just get a kick out of always refreshing and fidgeting with my branding stuff. I made a little video to show you guys the goods!

p.s. the music in the video is from Twink’s new album, Itsy Bits & Bubbles. Check it out!!!!

Change the layout. It’s gorgeous and cute, but.. Sometimes change is necessary. ๐Ÿ™ Keep “core” imagery- like fridges, etc. But clear text links would be way nicer for viewers, you, updates, etc. (Maybe like as grocery list??)

    STAY ADORABLE.

    • Yeah, I’m not sure how much food imagery – as far as drawings – I will keep in the re-design. It will most likely match up with the new biz cards and stationery. We’ll see what happens! First I have to deal with my accounting!! ICK! ๐Ÿ˜›

AAAHH! I can’t wait for your giveaway happening this week!! It feels weird to be the first commenter!! Also i love the end part where u say “word” hahahaha

    • It’ll just be an itty bitty giveaway to start off with :). I see a cupcake scarf giveaway in the future, though!

        says:

aww really? A scarf thats awesome!! I’m not sure I am I going to enter though, because that will make me not wanna crochet my own!! I will be here for the goodies though!! and for the contest, I was thinking instead of the Generator maybe you could ask a trivia question about yourself. BUT maybe alot of people may get it right. SO i’m not sure I have no idea…I don’t like being judged by my creativity either.

aww so cute, I love the Tumble bunny song and your labels are too cute..I’m almost tempted to buy something from u to figure out the trivia…:P!! I can not wait for the giveaway, heheee I confess I hope your not doing a random comment type thingy! Becuz I’m never lucky with those type of giveaways….anyways ur video was too cute and those are some EXICITING paper purchases…too bad its soo expensive. Doesn’t hairy have a printing business type place?

    • The random comment/random generator is the only way that I feel is a truly fair way to choose a winner! Let me know if you have other suggestions :). I just always feel so judged if I enter a contest which is based on the creativity or profound nature of my entry :P. Maybe that’s just me! Yes, Hairy does screenprinting… probably not so cost-effective for paper goods ๐Ÿ™‚

I completely agree ๐Ÿ˜€ I’m not sure I’ll try to think of something…if I can’t….I guess the random generator is best!! ๐Ÿ˜›

Will your giveaway be open to people from the uk?

    • Thank you! YES! I always ship worldwide for giveaways. And of course, winners usually end up being overseas heheh.

I think re-inventing and changing your site is never a bad thing. I tweak mine all the time! I think its important to stay current, add new products and layouts and more importantly – its what works best for you. Love the new labels BTW ๐Ÿ™‚

I can see you rocking an awesome pixie cut ๐Ÿ˜€

Also- have you given any thought to doing a second book of food patterns? I’m hoping so. It defiantly gives still stay at home mom something to do while the baby sleeps.

    • I think my face is too big/round for that short of a hair cut! ๐Ÿ˜›

I have been thinking a lot about a 2nd book. It’s just been hard for me to decide, because, I still sell finished product in my Etsy shop, and selling patterns to other people sort of seems like creating an army of my own competition. Even if I don’t actually allow the sale of items from my patterns, you know people will end up doing it anyway! I like to share and inspire, but, it’s also my way of living, so I dunno!

Love the new hang tags and business cards!!

I’ve spoken with a few friends of mine in marketing and they said that rebranding is not necessarily a bad thing as long as your products remain consistent and you have a transition period between one brand to the next. So when you come up with your new brand showcase it for a bit prior to making the big change.
For your site, that’s pretty simple. You can do a new link (i know it’s a pain) to view your new layout and keep it there for however long and then change out the page to the new layout. It eases the overall transition period.

    • Hi Hi! Thanks for the tips! I am not actually fully re-branding at this point. Just changing the way the site and my promo stuff looks :). There may come a time where I will have to change the company name and URL etc, but not yet!

These are so cute!! I love it <3

  • My fiance is a web developer, and he says all companies should revamp their website every year to keep up with current technology and design trends. That doesn’t mean re-brand every year, but just give your website a new look to keep it fresh. It also makes people think your brand is evolving and growing year after year which is good. There’s a whole business behind that logic. It’s kind of crazy! ๐Ÿ™‚

p.s. the new labels are SUPER cute! I really need to get working on some stuff like that.
