At the top of the page, the end of Row 3, “turn” should be deleted, so the Row reads: “Row 3: (Ch 3, dc) in same st, 1 dc, (2 dc), 1 dc 5 times. (18 sts)”

In the paragraph after Row 3, delete “Don’t turn to work the other side. Just rotate the piece clockwise.” Begin with “You will be working a row on the bottom straight edge of the semicircle you just made. Break off yarn, flip piece over, and rejoin at the of the ch 3 from the start of Row 3.”

Page 30: The paragraph after Row 3 at the top of the page could use some extra explanation. Note my addition in bold.
“Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until you have 48 rows (or until the long edge reaches your desired unstretched hat circumference. At this point, your piece should look like a parallelogram with angled sides, not a straight rectangle. This angle is what creates the nice swirl effect when your hat is fully assembled. After Row 48, break off and leave 16 inches ……”
