Superduper Last-minute HOLIDAY GIVEAWAY!!!!

EDIT!!!!!! THIS CONTEST IS CLOSED!!!!!!!! I WILL NO LONGER APPROVE COMMENTS FOR THIS ENTRY. THANK YOU FOR PARTICIPATING! ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

Hey folks,
I’ve always wanted to do a giveaway, but I’ve been so crazy busy that I never have anything left to giveaway!
I took the opportunity after BazaarBizarre to put together a lil sumthinsumthin for all of you who have supported me and read my blog!

This giveaway package includes red and white striped peppermint wristwarmers/fingerless gloves, a red and white striped peppermint candy-heart necklace, and a red and wdhite swirled lollipop brooch.

TO ENTER:

Just leave a comment on my blog, telling me what your most favorite holiday treat is! (and make sure to enter your email address in the email address field so I know how to contact you!)

DEADLINE:

This is super quick! I will choose a winner with a random-number-generator on Monday, December 21st, at noon, PST. This way, I can hopefully have time to contact the winner, and have the winner send me his/her mailing address, and get the package out before the post office closes on the same day. For people in the U.S., the package should arrive before Xmas (according to the USPS….). Sorry to my international readers! I just didn’t get my act together in time! I will obviously still send the package to an international winner, but the package will probably definitely not arrive in time for Xmas.

Okay, this is my first giveaway at my own blog, so if I left anything out or messed something up…please let me know! ๐Ÿ˜›

xoxo

My favorite treat is definitely my family’s candy cane cookies. We make them from a recipe developed by my great-great-grandma and make big batches of them every Christmas. Candy cane shaped cookies that have a hint of peppermint? Awesome. ๐Ÿ˜€

  • Hmm, favorite holiday treat. I would DEFINITELY have to say Peppermint ice cream. It’s seasonal, it’s my mistress, and I love the cooling sweet taste of it’s nectar. Yummy stuff it is ๐Ÿ˜›

  • Mandi

    says:

  • Hipchicken

    says:

My favorite holiday treat are these bon-bons my mom makes (and I have made the last few years too come to think of it)– coconut, powdered sugar, and condensed milk mixed together than covered in chocolate. Tasty. Of course, all her other cookies are grand, too. Cherry Winks are a close second.

  • Elissa

    says:

Sugar overload! I am an Australian ex-pat so I think I would have to say my favourite non-food related holiday treat is the snow! It makes everything feel extra sparkly and happy. As an entomologist dash foodie, my favourite non-food related holiday treat this year would be home-made cider beetles! They’re basically dried out orange halves filled with brown sugar and whole spices (for the antennae, legs and eyes) are pressed into them. They can be dropped into hot apple cider or wine.

  • Lizi Villa

    says:

pumkin chocolate chip muffins and peppermint bark for sure!!! mmmmm oh and egg nog lattes too! oh and peppermint hot chocolate….

  • Patty

  • longslowslide

    says:

i love those chocolate oranges you wack on the table and they sort into cut orange pieces ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Tams

    says:

My mom makes homemade peanut butter cups for Christmas and they are basically made of magic. Usually she’ll throw together a care package for me full of random things (she once sent me a whoopee cushion, a screwdriver, packets of jam and expired marshmallows), but as long as she includes the peanut butter cups it’s all good.

  • bailie

well…. i dont know how to spell them, but pizelles! they are the perfect holiday treat, because they have a warm anise taste, they smell yummy when you bake them, and they look like stars or snowflakes when they come out of the iron! plus, i have happy memories as a kid of making them with my italian nonna, my mom and sisters. They are thin so you can make about a thousand of them, and eat about that many…at least i can ๐Ÿ˜‰

It has long been a Christmas tradition for my Italian Grandmother (Nonna) to have a couple of the grandkids over and help her make cappelletti for the Christmas soup. Soooo goood!!!
