Sweet Streets 2 & 6%DOKIDOKI show!

So I finally got my grubby hands on videos and photos from the Pooltradeshow…but first, I will show you what Hairy and I were up to in L.A. last weekend: Sweet Streets 2!! I was going to collab with Manda on a fashion project for the show, but due to complications, we unfortunately decided to pull out. I still wanted to see the show, though, because so many of my friends were involved and attending and I wanted to meet and see everybody!

I get very awkward about using my camera and asking for photos with people, so I never have all the photos I wish that I had, but here is a little peek!

Here’s me about to leave the motel for the show. We stayed at the Super 8 in Hollywood for the first time…… and although it is right next to a Walgreen’s (convenience!), I did feel like I might get a disease from the bed…

I made the ice cream hair baubles the night before we left. I love how they turned out! I definitely plan to make them for my Etsy shop in different sizes and flavors after I finish this one big secret project I have lined up!

Me and Yume Ninja! She made her most awesome Gothicorn outfit!!!! I didn’t get a shot of her shoes but WOW.

She also had two amazing pieces in the show! So talented!

Here’s me and San!! She’s an awesome illustrator from Atlanta and she was chosen to be a model in the 6%DOKIDOKI show. She’s so cute!

I treated myself to some 6%DOKIDOKI goodies and ran into Vani, one of the shopgirls, and asked if I could take my picture with her. I like this photo cuz you can see Steph and Candyspooky making faces behind us! I had no idea they were there until I looked at the photos on my camera!

Oooh I just stole this pic from Locketship!

It’s the very first photo of all members of the Big Headed Asians club! Who has the biggest head!!?!?

Here’s the view inside Gallery Nucleus from upstairs:

Here’s the giant crowd of people waiting for the 6%DOKIDOKI fashion show to start!

Prepare for the most amazingly fun and cute fashion show you will ever witness!!!!

WOW, right!?! I sat on the floor in the front row next to Maria Locketship and our feet were going numb! Could you see the back of our big heads in some of the video? There was no place to move since it was so packed! It was also really super duper hot inside, so Hairy and I stepped out after the show, wandered to find some bubble tea and deoderant (for stinky me), and after hanging outside the gallery for a little bit more, I shopped inside with Nellie, and then we went to eat food!

The art from the show is up on the gallery website, so Check it out here and buy some arts! I have never splurged and bought art before, but I saw a piece by an artist I have adored for years, and I went for it.

Come to me, Naoshi! She paints with glittery sand. It’s mind blowing!

Here are some snaps of some of the other art at the show:

This one is by the super cute Bei Badgirl! She came all the way from Australia! I’m lame and didn’t get a photo with her on my camera even though I recall taking many pics with her for other people’s cameras!

The next two are by Yume Ninja. They are gorgeous!

I LOVE the work by Eimi!

Awesome work by Misha who did my licorice bow tattoo!

The rest, I don’t have credits for, but you can always go to the Gallery Nucleus website to check out EVERYTHING. There was soooo much!

That was by far the most outrageous fashion show I’ve ever seen. It kind of reminded me of a girls night party at my friends house…although I’m sure the fashion show was probably a sober idea, lol.

I am definitely going to buy at least a few of those pieces. I’ll buy anything strange and food themed…but I think you know that ๐Ÿ˜‰

I LOVED your dress in these photos!!! ๐Ÿ˜€ Where did you get it??

    • It’s a 6%dokidoki dress that my friend Marissa gave me. She bought it when 6% had a pop-up shop here in SF last year!
