What would you like to see from me at Bazaar Bizarre?

Hi Gang!

First off, check out this super amazing drawing by ZambiCandy!!! I cannot believe it!

And now onto business!

The New People Artist Village event is this Friday/Saturday, but I am also gearing up for SF Bazaar Bizaare on December 12-13.

I noticed at Renegade that lots of people wanted to pick up and play with the savory scarves like Bacon n Eggs, Popcorn, and Pizza, but that most people wanted to buy the sweets-themed scarves like Cupcakes.

This made me think that perhaps my December show should be sweets-only, cupcakes, cookies, cakes, gingerbread men, etc.

What do you think?

I think that the cutesypie sweets are just one part of what I do, and that the humor of the savory scarves is another big facet of my work. So, I usually like to show both.

However, I ran out of cupcake scarves at Renegade, so I wondered if I should have taken more time to make more cutesy stuff, rather than spending time making the savories. In the end, I sold the rest on Etsy anyway, but, I just want to bring stuff to the show that people will want to see and buy! I don’t want people to be disappointed if I run out of the thing that they wanted.

Anyway, if you guys have any thoughts (especially from people who might actually go) let me know!!!

Tonight I will be felting like crazy (pancake purse!), and probably making gingerbread men like crazy, cuz my yarn just arrived today!! EEP!!!!!

I def say cutsey Christmas stuff like candycanes or gingerbread men. And as I saw on your twitter (Wow, I feel like a stalker) it could be the excuse for your gingerbread house tissue box cosies. πŸ˜€ Whatever you make, I’m excited to see. ^-^

You should also make Christmas-y T-Shirts mehbeh? I know I’ll be sure to drop by your booth at the Bizarre Bazaar and buy something, so matter what you make. πŸ˜€

    • I feel like I don’t usually sell a lot of tshirts at shows……..but I had a cool idea for shirts that I might execute if there’s time!!

Usually I just watch for your blog and admire your handiwork silently. You made me crochet again after years. For me it was a kind of therapy in a very stressful time. So I’m very thankful that you made me discover this again.

I’m living in germany, so there is no chance to go to such events like the Bazaar Bizaare… excuse my poor english. I really hope I don’ sound rude and it can be that there’ll be some misunderstandings. Sorry for this in advance -.-

I think you should show both but concentrate on sweets-themed stuff applying to “supply and demand”. Although I really love your savory stuff (The Pizza scarf is hilarious! Want one!) If people prefering the cupcake scarfs an so on to buy you shoud give’em what they want. Plus some savory pieces to exhibit your colorful and various work.

    • Thank you so much for your comment!!!

I’m so happy you picked up crocheting again!

It’s a nice way to take your mind off things, and then you have a new wonderful scarf or blanket or hat afterward!

Thank you also for your thoughts on the fair. I think I will end up doing just that: mostly sweets, and a few single savories for the display!

I’m so happy that it seems we understood each other. Hope you’ll be succesful at the fair. I’m really looking forward for some pics.

I dunno why but I started with a dozen of strawberries. And with every try the berries grew. My Dad was holding one to his nose and said disappointed “why don’t it smell like a strawberry”. Think this could be an idea… like a fruit potpourri.

        Peace out!
